I read that Trippin' debuted tonight. Did any of you watch it? How did Cameron Diaz come across? She's always seemed so annoyingly ditzy at best and unintelligble/high at worst to me when I've seen her in interviews so I was wondering how she comes across in (admittedly edited and with her as a producer) 30 minutes of unadulterated footage as herself.

Slate has a great review of Trippin': "Ego Tourism". Scroll down to the second half of the article. I laughed out loud reading it.

I knew that Drew wasn't the sharpest knife in the drawer but I always thought she was funny in a cute way. She comes off so immensely stupid in those links.

I saw the previews for Trippin' but Cameron doesn't do anything for me. She comes off as a hypocrite and she's just meh.

But yeah, I taped Cletus and Britney! The shame.

Agree, she's somewhat boring. Is it me or does she resemble a jack-o-lantern from time to time? She has such a pumpkin face. However, she was gorgeous in The Mask. As some media person said, she just hasn't been able to look like that again.

I saw some clips of her this past week from back when she was working on The Mask and I also found myself thinking that she was much prettier then. Perhaps she was just more pulled together then, trying to make a better impression. Now that she's achieved some fame, she's gone the Britney route of bad fashion, bad hair, bad skin, and she just never looks very pretty now.

Or, it's the usual case of someone being pretty until you get to know something about them and then their inner ugliness starts shining through, getting in the way of any physical attractiveness.

I don't know. I still think she can look beautiful and I think she's a heinous bitch.
The big change could be attributed to her allegedly being a longtime addict. Maybe the abuse is catching up with her.

I think she can look beautiful too, but she certainly has aged. We all of us age, but I really notice it with her. She should also dye her hair dark again (she did it for a movie a few years ago) - her blonde hair looks so damaged and thin. Dark will make it look fuller, and really call attention to her blue eyes. (Hmm, I wonder what styling advice Cameron would offer me?)

My guess is that she's not overly concerned about her looks, since she is proud of her transition from model to actor, and would probably leave the achievement of facial perfection to her former peers.
