Warning to parents ---- This movie sucks. Not as bad as Shark Tale, but pretty close. When we went to see Shark Tale the kids in the theater were restless and running around, with Madagascar there was a lot silence when there was supposed to be laughter. It just wasn't funny and overall pretty disappointing.

Really? What a shame! I thought the trailer looked really promising.
Not that I'm a parent, just a 27 year old who happens to think the standard of the feature length cartoons these days such as Shrek or Garfield, are generally better then 'regular' movies, so I was looking forward to this. I agree though, Shark Tale sucked.

Damn! I was looking forward to seeing this. Sounds like a "must sneak into" flick to me.

Mr. Bones brought two of the three mini Boneses this afternoon. He said Shrek II was definitely funnier. And he admits that he's never even seen Shrek II. What a waste.

We went to this on Saturday. The first 45 minutes wasn't all that bad but near the end when I thought they were going to go home, it started to suck. I don't think we'll be getting it on video(DVD) either.

I took my three rugrats to see it last night. Yup. It sucked. In fact, I thought it was worse than Shark Tale. It just wasn't funny. Though I have to admit, some of the animation of the waves in the ocean was pretty cool.

I liked the penguins and the monkeys (poo-flinging is almost always funny!). Unfortunately, none of them were main characters. My 4-year-old thought it was a great movie, but I nearly fell asleep several times.

Oh, I didn't think it was so bad. It wasn't a great movie, but it wasn't a complete loss. The penguins were hilarious. And I've been singing, "I like to Move It, Move It" all weekend.

Oh god, we were all bouncing around the house singing that last night. It's insanely infectious. Perhaps the best part of the movie.
