Oh man, I am so freaking excited for this movie. "Summer 2006" isn't specific enough for me! I want to know when it's coming out! I am also curious about how, according to imdb, it is "set in a separate storyline not related to the "Trailer Park Boys" television show." How is that? Maybe imdb is just lying as usual. Does TPB air in the States at all or is it just a Canadian thing? I wonder if the movie will come out there (or if it is coming out in theatres at all? I don't even know that much)? But regardless, I am so excited.

Trailer Park Boys is sometimes shown on BBC America. I haven't been able to catch any episodes (BBC America is so strange with their programming - a lot of their comedies come on very early in the morning) but it is available on DVD. It has been on my netflix list for ages, but I keep pushing it further down the list because it is one of those that I would like to see... eventually. No rush for me. Maybe I will move it back up...

Oh, how I love my trailers. Part of the fun (or horror, depending on your take on it) is, being a small-town sort of Canadian myself, is figuring out who the characters remind you of.
I hope the movie works out well, the "alternate universe" thing does worry me. I did like the Christmas special as a prequel, so maybe that's what imdb means? Who knows. As long as it has a great deal of Cory and Trevor, I'm good to go.

I had never actually been in a trailer park until a few months ago, and I was shocked at how much it seemed like TPB. Heh.

(It should be noted that lixxie was able to find a beautiful shirt identical to Ricky's the other day and will be wearing it for Halloween.)

Bump. I want to see it on opening night, but I think we will be travelling/celebrating Thanksgiving, so I won't be able too. And I have a paper due the Wednesday after Thanksgiving, so I'll have to wait until the next weekend. Boo.

It's okay. The search doesn't work, so you have to go through the pages. And if you did that... I have no explanation. My best friend is having a TPB fest before seeing the movie, but unfortunately, because of the aforementioned Thanksgiving plans, I won't be able to go. Why on earth are they releasing it on Thanksgiving weekend?! I hate Thanksgiving. Stupid family!

I'd always considered rum & Coke to be a drink far too suburban for my tastes but after watching the boys on DVD over the years, it became not just a TPB-watching staple but a regular cocktail. Loathe as I am to condone drinking in highly-inappropriate places -- like a cinema -- I can't imagine a better drink than that for TPB:TM. Maybe with plastic ice-cubes, to prolong the clinking.
I hope Smoky returns.
