Ok, there isn't a thread for this movie. It's an older one, but I just discovered it. I don't know why, but I'm crazily addicted to the film. Oh, the guy in it, Sean Patrick Flannery, is really good looking.
Anyone else seen it?

I haven't seen the movie, but you might also be interested in the documentary Overnight, about the rise & fall of the director of this movie being the next Big Thing in Hollywood.

TTMR and I watched this because it came much recommended on a site he goes to. We both loved it. It was the kind of violent movie that I found very hypnotizing. Plus, seeing Willen Defoe dress up like a woman was worth the price of rental.

My friend owns it and I've seen it at least half a dozen times. My favorite is the end where they are shouting their warnings. I hear that they are going to make a sequal sometime this year.

So the sequel thing is for real. I recently saw 'Overnight' and I cannot believe anyone would let that blowhard near a film again. I have seen BS (ha!), and the only thing I remember is that Norman Reedus was in it - ex Mr Helena Christiansen.

Everyone I know that's seen this movie raves about it, and while I enjoyed it, I don't know if it's rave-worthy. I got the sense watching some scenes that the director was overly pleased with himself, and a bit of a pretentious blowhard, as sparkle motion put it. Like Ripley, I thought the violence was hypnotising. I found myself going slack-jawed and staring at the screen during some of the more violent scenes.
Was anyone else just a little bit sad that the cat got shot? I mean, it was funny, but probably unnecessary. Although I guess you could say it foreshadowed Rocco's lack of control.
But yeah, Sean Patrick Flanery is hot. Actually, I also find Norman Reedus disturbingly hot, mr Helena Christiansen or not.

I hated this movie. Hated it. Haaaaaaated it. All its stupid ham-fisted Catholic imagery and horrible acting made me nearly rip my own hair out.

Love it. Not only did this movie give me pretty Norman Reedus and Sean Patrick Flannery, but it gave me the line "Makes me feel like river dancing." For that alone would I worship it for all eternity.

After seeing Overnight today I actually have no desire to see Boondock Saints. The writer/director was such a meglomaniac ass**** that I fear what he would have written. I really do
BTW Overnight is great

I'm scared of seeing it. I've heard that it's a Tarantino rip-off.
It's like the BEST MOVIE EVAH for people of my generation (probably second to the emo-friendly Garden State).
I wish folks my age would have better taste. Or maybe see a wider range of films. That way, they can avoid inserting hyperboles into their film criticism.
