I would hire a nanny if I could afford it (and well, you know, if I had a child) even if I didn't work. I would go crazy not having any time to myself. I don't see what's wrong with it unless they have the nanny caring for him 24/7.

Some people use nanny to refer to a regular part-time babysitter. I think it could be misleading.
madefortv, if they employ some one full-time, the practical side of me thinks that isn't very smart. Neither one of them has anything big on the horizon AFAIK and they don't have awesome residuals from past projects. So paying someone to do a job that they are able to do seems dumb.

A nanny can be a spare pair of hands for a stay-at-home parent, though I'm not sure Pete and Ashlee are your normal stay-at-homes. They aren't in the public eye right now but they're probably still going to meetings for future projects, recording songs, and traveling. Why lose a minute's sleep or change a poopy diaper if you don't have to?

Even regular normal folk have nannies or babysitters for their kids. I don't see anything wrong with these two dipwads having one.
Glad the little one is OK. Except for that stupid, stupid name.

I will never forget how funny/sad it was when she was in Elle Magazine for some, "Love Yourself" article after having had rhinoplasty. I also don't see what's wrong with having a nanny. It's great to have someone you trust in case you have to run errands, go to a doc appointment etc. My freinds who have kids who love one.

I've been wondering when it would happen. She has been looking skinny and unhappy lately. Also, I really dislike Pete Wentz so I'm doing a "Whoohoo!" about this development.

I wonder if "I hate his new hairstyle" is grounds for divorce in CA.

What have either of them done in the past two years besides walk around LA with their kid? She got booted off Melrose Place, I don't follow his band's "music," so I don't know. I just see paparazzi photos of them with Bronx on what looks like an endless weekend of moseying, strolling, gallivanting.
Another Simpson girl without a prenup. What is Papa Joe's aversion to prenups? You'd think after Jessica's split from Nick, he would've insisted on Ashlee having one.

I just assumed this was an "I need back in the spotlight so it's either this...or a pregnancy" moment for her.
