He had a nice sized part in the film. He was definitely the real comedic moment in the film. He looked so different because he didn't have glasses and his hair was longer.

Man, I am certainly in the minority though because I saw it today and thought it was a massive pile of suck. I was like "Oh Ruffalo, why do you make bad choices like this?" But honestly this made 13 Going On 30 seem like Shakespeare.
I thought it was horrid. And I normally LOVE RomComs. I'm a chick-flickaholic but I could barely tolerate this. Reese seemed to be phoning it in and there were so many parts that made me just want to scream.

I saw this last night (packed theater surprisingly) and really enjoyed it. I agree with those that said the storyline was kinda weak but the leads really carried it. Mark and Reese had great chemistry and both did a fabulous job in the acting department.
Since there is a Barnes & Noble right next door to the movie theater, I was compelled to buy the book this movie is based from. It was a pretty quick read - and I must say it was an unusual case where I though the movie improved on the book. It really gives credit to Ruffalo and Witherspoon because they really made the characters, who in the book, I found to be pretty bland.

I just watched this movie on DVD last night. I liked the performances, but I thought the movie was total crap.
Was anyone else bothered by the implied medical politics? If I'd watched this right after the Terri Shaivo debacle I probably would have been screaming at my television. As it was I was only grumbling and talking to my cat.

You're not the only one, Peachesandcream. I was getting a little pissed off at the heavy-handed message.

The problem with the romcom was that it was BORING! Reese and Mark how could you?

Ok. Why did they wait till the end to use the Paper, Scissors, Rock game to prove the existence of the ghost. They should have been doing that all along!

I was surprised by how much I liked this. Mark Ruffalo is hot, also, which helped. But I thought it was cute.

If I'd watched this right after the Terri Shaivo debacle I probably would have been screaming at my television. As it was I was only grumbling and talking to my cat. The pro-life medical politics were probably one of my reasons for hating it. I saw it with a very religious pro-life friend and she loved it and didn't think it was pushing a right to life viewpoint but honestly that's all I saw when I was sitting there and I was very annoyed that the lesson was wrapped in a frothy pink rom-com wrapping.
