Chicken Little

Saw this today. Eh, not bad (it ain't "Shark Tail,") but not very good either. Just depressingly mediocre. The characters were cute for the most part, and there were a few funny lines, but the story was weak- it borrows from every alien movie ever, especially "War of the Worlds," "Signs," and "ET." And the animation was no where near Pixar quality- it wasn't even Dreamworks quality, and you'd think Disney could afford better. The set design was hard on the eyes too- lumpy and bulgy.

I did love Abby Mallard, aka "The Ugly Duckling." Especially when Chicken Little tells her "I've always found you extremely attractive," and kisses her. Her foot pops! The "Fish out of Water" is also cute.

The voice cast was pretty much wasted- Fred Willard and Adam West have tiny parts, and Joan Cusack was better as Jessie in "Toy Story 2." Zach Braff was cute as Chicken Little though. He did have one good part that wasn't given away in the trailers-he sings"We Are The Champions."

THANK YOU! I knew I had heard that voice before as a cartoon character and I was going nuts trying to figure it out.

I saw it with a group of friends and we all thought it was pretty cute. Not anywhere near Pixar standards but not bad. I loved that Fish out of Water - he was so funny.

I think if they had just stuck with the sky is falling plotline and left out the whole Chicken Little and his dad stuff it would have been much better.

My brother took the time to leave me a message to say "do not go see this". He is known to rant and rave about odd stuff, though. I'll have to get the full story of what his problem with this movie is. It'll be amusing.
