Watched this on cable last night; I was so bored. I had already read the book so I knew what was coming but I was interested to see the performances (well, to see Vincent Cassel - LOVE him) and to see if I saw Rachel in JA's performance. The thing is that while I didn't necessarily see Rachel, I sure as hell didn't see a confident femme fatale either. Someone a bit more sexy, alluring and confident would have been better in the role.
I would have been fine not watching the rest of the movie; the only thing that kept me there was wondering if they changed the book at all. Not the best reason to keep watching a movie, IMO.
