I've been seeing commercials for this, but not really too sure what its about. I LOVE Jay Hernandez so I'm happy to see him working, but other than that it kind of looks like a rip-off of Saw. There's all this hype about how "scary" it is, but to me it looks more disgusting than scary. Anyone else see the trailer yet?

The commercials seem like they are on every five minutes.

The commercials creep me out. I'll never see this movie, but I often enjoy reading reviews of movies I'll never watch (and have spoiled myself so I know everything that happens and can confirm that, indeed, I should never watch it). I've heard there was originally a different ending--anyone happen to know what it was? I'm always intrigued by changes in movie endings, and what effect that has on the whole story.

I think it's a nice change that the victims in this movie are men. I'm tired of all the damsel-in-distress horror movies. So old, so done.

What's up with the ads? They make it look like this is a Tarantino film. He produced it (put up the dough) but didn't write or direct. And he's making all the promotional rounds. Could you imagine if Danny DeVito did the same for "Pulp Fiction"? Yeah, Tarantino's a bigger name than the director is but still, it bugs me.

It's just PR. To get people to go see...because there are no other big names attached. It's what they got to do to get people's interest in the film.
Anyway, I'll never see it. I hate horror movies.

I saw it today and it didn't impress me.
Sure, it's violent and graphic but... if you see that kind of thing fairly often, it doesn't hold much shock value. It felt like they were saying, "Look at this! Look how motherfucking goddamn horrible this is! Who are you not to be disgusted?! Blargh!" After a certain point, I was just ready for it to either make it's big point or shut up. The only parts that were somewhat creepy were the non-violent, establishing parts which weren't the selling point of the film.

I agree with all of what Wenton said. I've honestly seen more graphic things on episodes of CSI. The only thing that made me wince in this movie was when the guy got his achilles tendons sliced. *shudder*
And to whoever directed this shitty movie, I hate to break it to you, but as a female, I can confirm that most of us do not walk around/ play tennis/ knit sweaters/ dance/write term papers/ponder the mysteries of life with our best friends while topless/naked.

Did you guys see the uncut version?
I read the reviews on IMDB and it mentions the original ending, if you are curious.

You mean there's an actual PLOT to this movie?
From all the commercials I've seen, it appears that the movie exists purely to SHOCK! YOU! SENSELESS! until you've gone into cardiac arrest.
I tend to avoid any kind of Hollywood outing where the filmmakers or actors are just so impressed with themselves. It's really annoying.
