Ridiculous. Just plain ridiculous.
I'm fine with athletic movies that enforce dedication, team work, and a strong spirit...which I'm sure this movie does. However, why do they have to bring a sexual aspect to the film? Just the title itself speaks volumes.
Consider athletic films about men's sports: Friday Night Lights, Varsity Blues, etc. These guys aren't playing the sport because its sexy and they look hot on the field.

I love it when you give me shout outs, Topher.
THAT is the premise!?! Since the fuck when is getting the opportunity to be an Olympic level athlete a PUNISHMENT?
EXACTLY! This is exactly why I have so little interest in this movie. This isn't going to be the usual TV movie about a gymnast who goes from having fun at her neighborhood gym to getting shipped off to a meanie coach who turns her into a bulimic mess, but it's still going to be full of all sorts of negative attitudes towards women's gymnastics, and women's sports in general for that matter. I mean, for God's sake, when have you ever seen a football movie where a Judge forces a guy to play football?
Okay, I'm probably dissecting this a little too much, but gosh this movie is going to suck!

True, true, true...but the "call me. Stalk you!" line gets me giggling every time.

Bring It On was so deliciously horridly campy that I loved it so I'm hoping for the same for this one. Plus, I loved American Dreams (that horrid TV show) and I am excited to see the girl who played Roxanne in this.

Are you guys crazy! This movie looks awesome. The song and the editing of the trailer makes it look super cooool. I like when all the girls in different colored outfits go around on the bar in a circle.

I'll admit that I laughed out loud when in the trailer the girls are looking at boys hitting on some girls, one of the girl asks "what do they have that we don't?" the main "rebel" girl says "boobs".

What kind of jocks are you guys running into?? Most high school athletes I've known are the most vain, self-aware people on earth.
I so want to see this movie.

Was that a sly reference to the pressure for top-tier gymnasts to Olsen Twin themselves? Or will there just be the one token bulimic character who needs a Very Special intervention?
