Here's the thread dedicated to Cars, Pixar's latest movie. For those who odn't know what it's about (both of you ;D), it's the story of Lightning McQueen, a hotshot young race car who leaves the fastlane, where he learns The Meaning of Life.
Voices include Owen Wilson as Lighning, Paul Newman as Doc Hudson, Bonnie Hunt as Sally, Larry the Cable Guy,Tony Shaloub, Michael Keaton and George Carlin.
Chat about Cars here.

Looks awful.
My youngest son even said so. None of my kids are interested, despite all the hype.

I'm gonna just put on my stupid hat and say I don't understand this movie. With the other Pixar movies, like Toy Story and A Bug's Life the characters weren't people, but existed in a world of people, so their roles in the universe were the same, you know. (I'm not explaining this right.) Toys were toys, bugs were bugs, etc. But the Cars movie doesn't look like it takes place in a world where cars are still cars as they are in this world. So if cars in Cars are people, who builds the cars? Why do the cars exist? How were they invented? It's kind of bugging me.

Let me start out by saying that I love all the Pixar movies. Monsters, Inc is my favorite followed by Finding Nemo. I've always been excited about the newest one coming out.
This one?
Meh.
I've seen the trailer several times and it just. looks. dumb.
I'll definitely wait for DVD on this one. And then, it'll still only be a rental.

I've liked every Pixar movie so far, so I don't think this one will be any different. The funny thing is every trailer that I've seen for any Pixar movie, I've always been "meh" thinking I won't like the movie. Then I see it and love it. Thats what happened for me when I saw The Incredibles trailer, I thought the movie would suck and it ended up being one of my favorite films of the year. So I'm holding out hope for this one. And I love Owen Wilson. ;D

Well, Pixar always has awful trailers. The one for Nemo was bad, bad, bad, and so was the early buzz.
Cars is getting some great early reviews. I can't WAIT for this. Pixar has never let me down and I'd rather see even a below par Pixar film than ANYTHING else at the box office these days.

Oh man. I feel like I just took the red pill! I am also ashamed that I just made a Matrix reference.

I am so damn sick of Pixar and I don't know why. I also have no interest in cars, so... No.

Same here. I don't know how Pixar does it, but they have always managed to pull one out of the hat. I plan on seeing this one too, just to see how they are going to do it again. (bad trailer or not)
