Hey, I would have cheated with Liz Taylor (circa A Place in the Sun) if I'd had a chance (and there's not a drop of attraction to women in me)!

I guess it could have been emotional cheating (he said there was nothing physical). But given the chance to chat it up with an icon at the end of her life? He should turn that into a screenplay.

That's a good point, although knowing Colin's track record, I'm sure Liz wasn't the only woman he was carrying on with. His GF at the time would probably have considered Liz to be the least of her worries.

Yes! And I remembered Gong Li from Farewell My Concubine years and years earlier, so that was a 100% crack pairing as far as I was concerned. They really made it work though.

Who says it's even cheating? Did he and his baby's mother have any sort of monogamous commitment? I'd guess not. Whether or not it was true love, it sounds like he and Liz found happiness in their relationship and for two such troubled people, that's a nice thing.

It wasn't cheating. She was 79 and dying, for crying out loud. It was two people who made a connection. If Colin wants to call it "romantic" that's his prerogative, but there are many different kinds of love. If I were his significant other I would have a hard time being jealous of something like that - I find it very sweet.

Please watch the video of him telling this story to Ellen. It was the furthest thing from cheating. Its obvious in how he tells the story that they just struck up a nice friendship. He was joking about wanting to "be" with her.

Wow, I can't believe how far back I've had to go to find this thread lol

I'm ridiculously excited to see The Banshees of Inisherin. This is the same team from In Bruges.
Also glad to see Colin getting accolades - I don't think he gets nearly enough credit for his work. I'm sure a lot of it is due to his wild past, but he's done some great work in the last 10 years.

Venice was pretty ecstatic about the film.

Farrell has been doing stellar work for years, sometimes mixed with duds, but his filmography at this point is very strong. And yeah, his earlier bad boy image/botched attempts at being a Tom Cruise leading man might work a bit against him in perception perhaps. IMO he should have gotten Oscar noms at least for In Bruges and The Lobster. Perhaps it'll work out with this new one. He's having a stellar year: After Yang, Batman, 13 Lives and now The Banshees of Inisherin.

Falling for a Dancer appears to be on the tube place, I can’t say if it’s complete or good quaility
