I had read a newpaper blurb on King Abdullah around the time he removed his brother as Crown Prince which implied what I previously wrote. I'm not sure which paper. Sorry. However, there is a very interesting thread on The Royal Forums about whether or not King Abdullah is doing a good job and the same issues are coming up. It is supposed to be a poll and by 22 to 0 it says that he is doing a good job, but read the comments. They are devestating.

I am trying to catch up on my magazines, and I get Newsweek, US World News and Time so I don't know which one it was...

I think Rania is vulnerable as she ages. Abdullah's father had several wives and one has to wonder if this King will follow the same path. There were rumors that Noor was vulnerable before the Hussein fell ill. Time will tell.

Apasia: Um, are you suggesting the Queen may be feeling a little uneasy, because of the possibility he may marry another woman?

Rumors were rife that Hussein had a younger woman before he got ill.

I have no idea how Rania is feeling about her marriage. Just know that Abdullah's mother was number two out of four wives. Perhaps history would repeat itself, maybe not.

I have thrown out those magazines which were from March, but they were not about Rania, they were about the cunning of Abdullah in working with Bush and his role in the Middle East action.

I would be so pissed if I had a Queen who spent all that time and money!!!!! on herself and her appearance. Especially if I were really poor... as is most of the country...

Isis, I have heard rumors in the past that Rainia has diabetes, but it has never been confirmed at least as far as I know.

ETA that the rumors I heard came from people who know people who know people *who know* that Rainia has diabetes. So take it with a grain of salt.
