I caught the trailer and it doesn't look too promising in my opinion.
I was really looking forward to this film because I thought it would be about the life of Diane Arbus. But it looks like it's not. It focuses on how she became a photographer and as the title warns ("An Imaginery Portrait of Diane Arbus") I think it's not biography but fiction. I'm guessing the real life relationship with the Robert Downey Jr character and Diane Arbus was a mystery.
Anyway anyone else see the trailer?

I'm disappointed as well...I saw the trailer and realized it won't be as good as it sounded when I read about it. Bummer.

I dunno...in that bottom pic her face looks overly long and haggard. I like the design of the poster, though.
It seems that Fur got panned when it was screened for critics, and received complaints that it would ruin Diane Arbus's legacy. I suppose that's why the tagline is, "An IMAGINARY portrait of Diane Arbus", to make clear that it's a fictional interpretation of her life, rather than a documentary.

Thanks ever so much, Nicole, for once again trashing something I loved the first time around. First it was "Stepford Wives" and "Bewitched," but how DARE anyone involved in "Fur"do this to Diane Arbus?! Nicole is ALL wrong for this and, in any case, I don't think there should be a film about Arbus at ALL, except for a documentary. She was very complicated and absolutely original and inimitable. If anyone in Hollywood had a speck of imagination any more, maybe we wouldn't be subjected to such pap. I even hate the damn title! FEH!!

Her accent in the trailer is bad and she's speaking with that breathy voice again.
