"I WILL KEEP YOU HERE ALL NIGHT!" "We can only keep them till 4." "I WILL KEEP YOU HERE TILL 4!" "Awwww, HELL NO, I did NOT leave the south side for this!" "Coach Carr! Step away from the underage girls!"

Um, I thought this movie was boring and sort of stupid, and not nearly as funny or charming as Clueless. There are a couple amusing scenes, but so many others where I'm like *blank stare* or cringing slightly. Like the incredibly looooong one where Tina Fey teaches the girls a lesson.
I guess I just don't see what's really that funny about catty teenage girls making snotty remarks about each other, or obsessing about their appearance.
I will always love Tim Meadows though.

I didn't get the appeal of this movie either. It couldn't commit to a tone --was it a "life lesson" or a satire?-- and pales in comparison to the ultimate "mean girls" movie Heathers.

^why can't it be both satire and life lesson? As for clueless.....Mean Girls made me laugh...I like Clueless, but it wasn't laugh out loud funny. It was the kind of movie you smirk at. Lilo is really likeable in films, such a disappointment when you think how she really is. Janis and Damien are teh awesome ---- "Danny Devito? I love your movies!" "Crack Gretchen Wieners and we'll crack the plastics -- say crack agian -- crack!" This movie rocks. I watch it all the time.

I recorded this movie when it was on over the weekend and watched it this afternoon. The absolute funniest part for me is when Karen clues the crystals on her chest backwards. That is just perfect.

I know! And she looks so proud and relieved that she got them all on there! That's what's even funnier for me - not that the crystals are backwards, but the look on her face as she turns away from the mirror! Y'know what I just caught when I re-watched it this past weekend? Now, I know, Janis' last name is "Ian", which I got right away the first time I saw it, because I'm old and I know who Janis Ian is. But did you notice in the scene in Regina's bedroom, when Cady, Gretchen and Karen are consoling her because Aaron broke up with her for cheating on him with the other guy - the song playing in the background is "At Seventeen", by none other than the actual Janis Ian, the singer! I cracked up laughing when I realized the song that was playing!

One of my favorite movies! Rachel McAdams is my girlcrush. She flat out steals every scene under Lindsay Lohan.
"I'm a cat, DUH!" said by Amanda Seyfried makes me laugh. every. single. time. "Boo, you whore"
"I'll keep everyone here all night if I have to" "You can only keep them here until 4." "I will keep everyone here until 4."
I never got the Danny DeVito line, though. It goes straight over my head.
The Plastics always reminded me of the Unicorns from Sweet Valley Twins with all the matching colors and clothing rules. Tina Fey must've been a secret Sweet Valley fan.
I must watch this movie again.

I love the throwaway joke of Regina's little sister. The two times we see her in the movie she's imitating some slutty video in front of the TV.

I really love this movie; I thought Lacey Chabert totally stole the show as Gretchen Wieners.
