I saw this movie last night at our indie theater as part of its "Cult Summer Camp Movies" series. It was so awesome seeing it with a big audience of people who knew every second of it. And since the director grew up here in Cleveland going to the theater, he taped a video intro for it. I can only imagine how much fun the cast had while making it.
"Why don't we say 9:30, and then make it your beeswax to be here by 9:30? I mean, we'll all be in our late 20s by then. I just don't see any reason why we can't be places on time."

Ooh, I'm jealous. I never saw it in the theater and that sounds like so much fun! Thanks to WHAS, I can pinpoint the [blue]exact moment[/blue] I fell in love with Paul Rudd and his endless supply of awesomeness. And I kind of want to [blue]follow Gene around all day[/blue], mud on his ass and all. Gene: "Now finish up them taters, I'm gonna go fondle my sweaters."

I love David Hyde Pierce in this movie, and I love Christopher Meloni and his willingness to take Gene to a hilarious yet slightly creepy place - I mean, the man humped the fridge.

Thank you guys for giving me something to pop into the player after a spliffy day in the sun by the pool. Oh, yeah, and for you fans of Meloni, here's a screen cap from an outtake.

I saw The Ten last night, David Wain's new movie. It was almost as funny as WHAS. Almost. No Meloni, but a lot of the WHAS cast is back.

We've had it sitting on our TiFaux for several weeks now because someone here recommended it so enthusiastically. I really need to watch it!

It's hilarious! "I don't like you anymore. You taste like burger."
I went to a screening on Halloween a few year's ago. People dressed up like the characters and a lot of the cast showed up. It was awesome.

OK, we watched this tonight, and it pains me to say it, 'cause I love you all, but we absolutely haaaated it, even though we're big fans of so many people in the cast. Just. Could. Not. Get. Into. It. (Chris Meloni and his talking can of mixed veggies were good, though, and we did love the scene where Ben and McKinley get their chaise longue.)

I can totally see how this is a "love it or hate it" movie. You either get into and love it or you don't and it's sheer torture.
For me this movie was like Napoleon Dynamite - the first time I was it I was like "Meh. Whatever. I really don't see what the big deal is." But both these movies kept rattling around in my head (and there were bits that I loved from the start), and fell in love with them the second time I watched them.
