THAT is the exact attitude that's going to keep this issue going.
I said this about Miley Cyrus's "Be nice" comments about women as well. By giving into that old belief that women need to quiet, nice, and NOT talk about such vulgar subjects as women's health, and the pay gap...we continue in 2015 to have debates on women's health by men, and earning less than our male counterparts.

Well I already knew she was a dumbass with the multiple baby daddies, naming her child Bear and marrying a guy with the dumbest name, but this seals the deal for real. Jesus take the whole damn car.

Kate Winslet is happy to talk about things that are *actually* vulgar like burping, farting, her loss of urinary continence, her fat rolls, and the various physical effects childbirth has had on her body. But when it comes to an important issue of gender equality, suddenly she's the Dowager Countess of Grantham turning her nose up at the vulgar discussion of money.
Also, she claims it has never impacted her. Seriously? Because I'm betting she's been paid less than her male costars for her entire career, starting with Titanic. Leo made between $50-$100 million for Titanic. I'd love to hear what Kate made. If it was $500,000 I wouldn't be surprised.

According to this, she made 2 millionNo idea how accurate that is, but looking at the salaries from all the other films, I'd believe it.

I think whats she's trying to say is that she's uncomfortable with the subject because all famous actors, male & female, are multi-millionaires. She fails to realize the trickle-down effect of all this that affects us plebs as well. Enjoy making less money than your male co-stars for doing the same amount of work, Kate.
