What? No thread for Kate Winslet? Scandalous! She's not only one of the world's best actresses, from what I've heard/read about her, she's a pretty cool person, too.
Discuss her here.

Love her, love her, love her as an actress and a person. That's all.

Got nothing but love for her. She's just great and I'm already looking forward to seeing her and Jude together on screen. I'm not Jude's biggest fan but I always thought they should totally make a film together.

I was so upset that she didn't win the Oscar. I know a lot of people think Hilary Swank deserved it, but I thought she was so good as Clementine.

Will she ever actually get an Oscar?
I know, I know, she's still young but I fear her fate may be to give one great performance after another as she's overlooked in favour of "look, the pretty starlet uglied up to prove she can act!" nominees.

I'm a huge fan of Kate's. I LOVED her Oscar dress-so pretty.
I want to see her act in something with Ewan McGregor. I think they're supposed to do an animated movie called Gnomeo and Juliet about garden gnomes or something like that. Should be pretty interesting.

She is wonderful. The only movie I've ever seen her suck in was Titanic, and I'm still not sure why she wasn't convincing in that movie. Must have been the bad hair dye affecting her brain.

Love her! I do see what people mean (notably someone having "one final vent" over at the old board) about her "head prefect"-ness, but it doesn't really bother me. As long as she continues to rock in her roles (Clementine...wow. And Heavenly Creatures, which I hadn't seen for a couple of years, was on TV here last night...double mega freakin' wow. She was 17 when she did that?) and look so, so pretty, I can live with a bit of the "jolly hockeysticks" thing.

She's still my number one girlcrush. I'm really looking forward to Romance & Cigarettes. It has a great cast.

Love her in it, she really shines. Although I had a wee giggle at her 'in the bath, with blue lips, crying' scene...it was identical to her 'blue-lips crying' in Titanic, but hey, if it works, why not do it twice!
