I want to BE Kate Winslet. She's just so pretty, so cool and so amazing talented. I actually thought she was pretty good in Titanic. If I've ever seen her be anything close to bad, it would have to be in The Life of David Gale. But seriously, she's been astounding enough times that she could suck for the rest of her career and still be one of the best actresses around.

I'm really, really looking forward to Romance & Cigarettes, the musical she's got coming out this August that also stars James Gandolfini, Christopher Walken and Susan Sarandon. It's directed by John Turturro and just sounds/looks so crazy! And Kate looks spectacular.

I love Kate, she's one of my girl crushes. I actually just watched some "Oprah behind the Oscars" thing and they were filming Cate Blanchett (my other girl crush) as she came off stage right after winning her Oscar, and Kate ran right up to her and gave her a hug and a kiss, and just seemed genuinely thrilled for her. It just solidified by girl crush for both of them.

My favorite actress ever. She's a goddess to me. Best actress of her generation IMO. Love, love, love her. Her and Johnny are lovely together. I love them both hence my screenname. ;D

I have the utmost respect for this woman and think she is absolutely beautiful. However, I have noticed that she has been looking a bit, ahem, different. There seems to be some low grade buzz about plastic surgery, in particular, a nose job. Isn't she always on and on about how she is so against surgical alteration?
If I were a little more proficient on the ole computer, I would try to post some before and after pics for our perusal, but, I'm not.
Anyone like to offer up some evidence?

I just caught Kate's American Express commercial, and I really liked it.

They don't show her face, you just see the back of her head and it looks like any lovely young woman out walking around and shopping.

The voiceover is Kate speaking saying things like (totally paraphrasing because I don't really remember), "At eighteen, I was convicted of murder. At 22, I almost drowned. At 26, I lost all the memories of my love. By 28, I was in Neverland." - At that point, the camera shows her face, and you see it is Kate and she is talking about all the roles she's played (and she looks friggin' gorgeous).

I don't know why, but I really like it. Probably because it was driving me nuts trying to figure out what was going on with this woman who had been through so much tragedy all the while thinking "the narrator sounds like Kate Winslet."

I loved her commercial (saw it during CSI last night). I like how they kept her face hidden until the end. And you're right kotsgard, she is just gorgeous. I swear, she could be dipped in shit and rolled in breadcrumbs and still be gorgeous.

I was just coming here to say how much I loved her commerical.

At first I kept thinking, "Wow, this sounds like a great movie. I didn't know Kate had a new movie coming out". The they got to the "I had my memory erased" part and I was thinking that sounded like something she'd done before. Great commercial and beautifully shot.
