Yes, I bought that issue of Vogue. She looks absolutely stunning, as always. I am such a huge fan--she has always reminded me of a young Meryl Streep--and that comparison is made in the article. If there is anyone of today's generation of young actresses that will inherit the great Ms. Meryl's throne, it's Kate. (IMO) Oops, forgot to mention that her character in ESotSM inspired my screenname!

Good to see her name pop up again. The fact that she's friends with DiCaprio is the one thing that has made question my idea that he's kind of gross.
Anyone see Hideous Kinky? I liked it, though it got crappy reviews. Kate was gorgeous. And the two little girls were excellent.

Love, love, love her. I'll join the ranks of those who feel that she was robbed at the Oscars. And I was surprised by that American Express commercial because it made me realise Kate is under 30! She has this poise that makes her seem older. Also, she's a scant few years older than I am and I am nowhere near as mature.

Kate is, in fact, the only redeeming quality about Leo--if that makes any sense. I just bought the Vogue issue today. *sigh* I just can't get enough of the woman. I just read that she has a packet of cigaretes marked in big letters "CIGARETTES CAN CAUSE A SLOW AND PAINFUL DEATH". Hee hee. I can't excuse Kate for that bad habit of hers, but at least she's aware of it (?) I also enjoyed director Todd Field's anecdote about Kate's dog-earred, post-it covered copy of All the King's Men. On a different note, it seems as if Romance & Cigarettes will be bumped back from August to some time in the fall. I suppose it's inevitable, considering that it's likely to be screened at Venice this September, and hence, a world premiere would likely garner more anticipation and publicity. But it sorta sucks that I'll have to wait ...

I have the utmost respect for this woman and think she is absolutely beautiful. However, I have noticed that she has been looking a bit, ahem, different. There seems to be some low grade buzz about plastic surgery, in particular, a nose job. Isn't she always on and on about how she is so against surgical alteration? If I were a little more proficient on the ole computer, I would try to post some before and after pics for our perusal, but, I'm not. Anyone like to offer up some evidence? You must mean this. I think she looks beautiful.

She's been filming Little Children in NYC since late July. It's her first headlining role in...for ever, really, I don't know, since Holy Smoke in '99, maybe? So exciting. Jennifer Connelly and Patrick Wilson are in it too, but she's definitely the lead. And it sounds like a pretty interesting role. I haven't read the book, but according to amazon.com, Sarah is an . Oh, and if she has had surgery, it's damn good. You can't really tell, which is always a positive sign.

I think that Kate looks... different as well. It is so hard to tell with people who start acting when they are so young. She has lost quite a bit of her "baby fat" (and a lot of her "other fat" as well!) and that could cause a change in her looks. I mean, Leo DiCaprio looks way different than he did during Titanic and I doubt he has had any work done. So... she looks great and has continued to deliver great performance after great performance. Work or not, I love her!
