I'm torn. I love those old Beatles songs and am a sap for that whole 60s vibe, but Hair did nail it adequately enough. On the other hand, Taymor rocks the visuals. On the other other hand, the trailer looks... amateurish, as do some of the effects. On the other other other hand, a theatre with a good sound system would be preferable to my own home system. Too many other handses. By the time it comes out on DVD I'll have a Dobbly system installed and it'll be a moot point.

Since Bono is in it, I guess I'll have to see it. Bono is threatening to supplant Alan Rickman on my "Gah! The movies I've sat through for you!" list.

I was thinking I wanted to see this up until the point in the trailer where the girl says, "It's a revolution, Jude!!" (Get it... "Hey Jude" and "Revolution"...together...argh) Then they lost me. And this is coming from someone who's been a Beatles nerd since she was 8. I think it's even worse than that. Like, as in, ERW's character is Lucy, there's a friend named Maxwell, another named JoJo, another girl named Sadie, another named Prudence. So forced and lame.

Dear God, that was terrible. I actually fast-forwarded through all the scenes U2 wasn't in. I think this movie looks cheesy, but my friends all want to see it and I love me some Bono (even one with huge sideburns and a pornstache), so I guess I'm going.

Argh, how cheesy. I thought the trailer looked intriguing, but I'm pretty sure I'm not even going to rent this one. Plus I'm tired of the same old "coming of age in the turbulent '60s" storylines, anyway.
