Yes I am wondering about these gay rumours too - is there any proof or is this just something that's come up because he looks/dresses (etc.) a certain way? I just cannot get my head around Renee Z marrying someone for publicity or as a beard. And if it *was* for publicity (because yeah, it could have been) - Kenny Chesney? That doesn't make sense either!

The fact that they got married in the Virgin Islands explains it all to me. I've spent some time in the British Virgin Islands and it's almost impossible to stay sober there. I swear there's rum in the air. And, even when you are sober the heat can make you delusional. I see a brief marriage a la Julia and Lyle Lovett.

Oh, I definitely don't think she would do it for publicity. She's not prone to publicity stunts, and I don't see any motivation for her to become somebody's beard. I think the decision was more about being crazed, irrational, foolish, not fully informed, and a little delusional.

I've suspected for a while that Renee is cracking under the pressure. Her extreme dieting is the most obvious manifestation of it. She's also talked a lot lately about wanting to get married and have children, so maybe there was a little panic involved.

Word, Colette! My family has spent a lot of time in the BVI's, and I can attest to the fact that every single one of those islands is practically swimming in rum.

It was clearly the rum. But if, for some godforsaken reason, it wasn't the rum, I'd pay a lot of money to know what the hell they were thinking. Anyway, for Kenny's sake, I hope it turns out well.

I mean for me living out here in the hills where a gay country music singer marries one of them thar big shot hollywood stars it's just inconceivable. It is just the talk of the town.

Someone asked where is it proven Kenny is gay, I just think everyone who listens to Country Music always assumed he was, I had never thought he wasn't at any point. I do remember at one point having a friend saying he was dreamy in one of his videos and our husbands pointing out the fact that his is gay and she saying I know but he is still dreamy.

I am modifying to add if I felt as sick as she looks and there was a kind, sweet man who wanted to marry and look after me and live in the islands and perhaps raise a family away from all the craziness from Hollywood(and was rich as he must) I would GO FOR IT TOO.
Gay men are tons of fun.

Ha! Benni, do we live in the same town? Because my local country station has been all over this story non-stop.
