I don't even know who this cowboy dude is. And after reading the last page or so I, too am starting to wonder if Renee isn't letting the pressures of H-Wood go to her head.

Chesney has been around for about fifteen years in country music, and started hitting it big in the last five. He's not one of my favorites, although I do get a kick out of "She Thinks My Tractor's Sexy."

Here's a short bio.

I had forgotten about the policeman's horse incident. That ran for weeks on the local radio shows- every song by either Kenny Chesney or Tim McGraw was introduced as "Tim and Kenny, FUGITIVES FROM THE LAW!" I hadn't heard any gay rumors, but I don't really care one way or the other. His fan base probably would, though.

I agree that she never struck me as the impulsive type. Just goes to show that we don't know our Hollywood royalty as well as we think we do sometimes. :-)

I never heard of this Kenny Chesney. All I can say is that her taste in men is scattered all over the place.

Apparently, one of his early hit songs was "You Had Me From Hello" which he wrote after seeing her in Jerry Maguire.

If he's not gay, then it's kind of sweet that he got to marry his movie star crush.

Is it merely a coincidence that both Renee Zellweger and Tom Cruise have publicly come out within a two week span as being involved with people who had crushes on them? No. It MUST be a conspiracy!! Klingons may be involved!

From what I've read he seems to be a nice guy never heard he was gay . And as they are both in their late thirtys it is possible that they know what they want in a relationship and found it in each other. Unlike airheaded nicky hilton and her need for publicity . These two are adults I wish them luck.

There was a blind item about a country singer being a closeted gay back at the FT forums that everyone believed was Kenney Chesney. He pings my gaydar for sure. This is so random. I kind of thought she'd get back with Jack White. Guess not!

Yeah, that was totally WTF? I actually like Renee and I think she's a good actress. I found her completely believable in Cold Mountain and in Chicago. She does need a sandwich though.
