Richard Kay is reporting that Will and Harry didn’t see each other until that walkabout. The day of the Queen’s death, Will had already left for Birkhall by the time Harry arrived at Balmoral. He had dinner with Charles while Harry dined with the rest of the family.

It was apparently totally William’s idea to text Harry and invite him to greet the crowds together. I wouldn’t be surprised if Kate also had something to do with that. She seems to have good instincts for what is appropriate.

I've seen so many conflicting reports about the organization of the Walkabout. Most do say that William initiated the invitation, but I've seen that it was at Charles prompting, Williams own decision, and a preemptive move because Harry and Meghan were going to do it on their own.

With most of the reports that are coming out now about the private family dynamics, I have to wonder exactly what the sources would be. In those first couple of days, would anyone but the closest and most loyal staff members have had any access to the family members? And would those people leak information? It's not like the Uber Eats delivery guy is reporting that he delivered two meals to one address for the account of Will, and another at a different address for a lot more meals for a guy named Ed.

I have a hunch that the vast vast majority of reports about what is happening behind the scenes are coming from gossip journalists who know how to sound really confident as they make up what they want to believe happened based on pictures and glipses.

Yeah, hard to know but Richard Kay seems fairly well connected. He claims it’s totally untrue that Harry & Meghan were going to organize their own walkabout. That REALLY would have been gutsy on their part, especially given how unpopular they are right now.

Someone heckled the Duke of York today during the family’s procession in Scotland.

Kay does say that Charles wants Will and Harry to work it out but not that he specifically suggested this effort.

It does sound like it was only supposed to be the Queen’s 4 children plus William the heir heading up to Balmoral to the Queen and Harry decided to show up uninvited. I initially thought perhaps he got invited as the son of the new King but that doesn’t seem like the case.

Harry continues to think and act, via the dash to Balmoral and releasing his statement, that he’s somehow super special amongst the grandkids rather than one of many.

I think William & Kate are pros through and through and are more than able to put on a united front until the Queen’s funeral. Somehow though I doubt the Sussexes are getting invited to go hang out at Anmer Hall. William has plenty of new responsibilities to keep him busy and avoid his brother & SIL.

I'm picturing Charles saying, "You two work it out" dismissively while using the same hand gesture to wave away the extra pens.

This new title is weird, lol. That and King Charles will take some getting used to.

Wow, what a coincidence, Harry and Meghan will also be in Boston or possibly DC to talk about...whatever's popular at that point! Who'd have thought?

But seriously Earthshot is a really interesting project and I especially love that it's mostly about networking and investment opportunities for all finalists and not necessarily the prize money.

It definitely is strange to think of them as the Prince and Princess of Wales. Although Duke and Duchess of Cornwall and Cambridge for a few months would have been very, very clunky.

I know. I read something about the Prince of Wales and Earthshot and thought, oh Charles is getting involved in Earthshot.
