William and Catherine will be in Boston for the Earthshot Prize awards ceremony on December 2. ARGH I mean on one hand... very cool. On the other hand, we are wracked with transportation problems, it's the holidays, and we will inevitably be SLAMMED with a blizzard On the other hand, all of Kate’s fabulous coats will be on parade!

At several times during the coverage and in stills of the funeral I was struck that William is a very handsome guy indeed. Those times often coincided with when he had his cap on. I think the general sentiment in this thread was that he peaked in his late teens. I disagree I think he seemed at best bland and at worst a bit rabbitey and horsey then. Now he has a really patrician nose, very definitely shaped and full lips, and striking eyes. In the side by sides of him and Harry, the latter seems all the more unfortunately drawn by an artist who was tuckered out - pinched features and beyond pasty skin.
Really the issue is that William does not wear his balding hair well. Or rather that NO ONE wears balding wispyish hair well but in 2022 most have the sense to go buzz cut when MPB hits and closely shorn doesn’t seem to be a BRF thing. But when that is covered up in a military or any other cap, his features look really very handsome indeed - much like Josh Lucas (an actor who for me on the old Fametracker scale should have had Tiny Tom Cruise or at least a Ben Affleck career).
Peter Philips is also quite dishy. And has hair. Surprised that he didn’t get paid more attention to by tabloids and fan girls over the years.

I think all men look more handsome in uniform, LOL. The cap helps. His head is shaped more decently than, say, the Duke of Kent's, whose baldness makes him look like an aged Batboy (of Weekly World News fame).
I thought Edward was handsome before he lost hair. I think he has the nicest facial features of all of QEII's kids.
I think the best-looking of the extended royals, male edition, is Alexander Ogilvy. Look him up.

I think all men look more handsome in uniform, LOL. I don’t know how to post links to pictures, but look up Prince Albert of Monaco from the funeral. He’s the exception to that rule! He looks like he’s wearing pieces from two different uniforms.

On the other hand, we are wracked with transportation problems, it's the holidays, and we will inevitably be SLAMMED with a blizzard I am with you on that. Traffic in Boston is a clusterfuck, especially when it comes to the T. What were they thinking deferring repairs on The Orange Line for five years? And they think it will be all good in just a month. I am looking at the near constant rain these days and I wonder how it's working out for them. As for a blizzard in Boston this Christmas or any time in December, the last several have been pretty warm with temps around 65 on Christmas day. Winter hasn't been hitting MA hard until late January and February. Also, "they" are predicting a warm fall and winter. Of course we know how accurate their predictions have been as of late, "they" warned constantly of major thunderstorms this summer which never showed at all. By "they" I mean meteorologists. December is a rough time to visit Ma, but at least they are visiting during the beginning of the month and not the end.

Oh I know full well that if William and Kate were NOT coming we'd be in tank tops and grousing about it being too damn warm for December (for you southern folks.. we will be wearing those tank tops at 45 degrees) but simply because they're here it will be BOMBOGENESIS

Seems that William will not have a fancy investiture as Prince of Wales like Charles did. He and Kate visited Wales today. Their first visit back since becoming Prince and Princess of Wales.

Seems that William will not have a fancy investiture as Prince of Wales like Charles did. That's probably for the best. If Charles wants a streamlined monarchy, maybe fewer state occasions is the way to do it. An investiture would also give Harry a chance to complain and underscore the differences in their statuses now. Even if Harry didn't attend, he and Meghan would probably be releasing announcements about flower arrangements during the ceremony.

Who was the Prince of Wales before Charles? Was Elizabeth the Princess of Wales?
