As someone who isn’t a working Royal and hasn’t been for some time, Harry was never going to be given that honour / designation.

This new appointment for William was announced last summer. I believe it’s being mentioned now because it’s actually happening and journalists are looking for another angle to stir up “Charles snubs Harry” or “Harry in tears over snub” type stories.

He's pro-money. Tom Quinn moonlights as a seer. He's asked for his opinion and he makes things up on the spot. Most recently that Catherine really really wanted to reconcile with Harry and Meghan but William won't let her. And that William and Kate were really nervous about Harry's visit and a great deal of planning is going on to try to reduce all the inevitable awkwardness and embarrassment. "One plan being looked [at] is to let the brothers appear in public for a short period to try to [and] show [that] they can at least be civil to each other." LOL. When pigs fly.

King Charles held the position as Colonel of the Army Air Corps for 3 decades. It was announced last year in August it was going to William. Obvi things've been a bit hectic & the official ceremony was delayed, likely until Charles felt well enough. If Harry's crying bc he didn't get it, then he's even more delusional than I thought. Why would someone who's been on the outs with the family and no longer a working royal be so delusional to believe he'd be up for this position? He served in the Army Air Corps, but so did thousands of others. Harry held no official role. So this story's trash. Charles is fulfilling what he said last year and William's taking it on. I see nothing weak or terrible about this. The only terrible thing's the idea of Harry crying over a situation he has nothing to do with somehow being believable.

Harry should be crying that his charity is spending time hushing up abuse in Benin.

Harry lost all his ceremonial military appointments years ago. This was at the behest of the brass who were consulted by HLM. They said it was untenable and demoralising for the troops to have a "leader" who left duty and country etc. It could never have gone to him and he knows it. So if there's any basis to this it's a plant to try and make people sorry for Harry. Although since he seems to have no awareness what so ever I can imagine him being upset at this.
