As for her relationship with Vaughn, whom she met last year while filming The Break-Up, "We're just being," Aniston says. "We're having a good time."

That's such a vague and open statement. It could mean anything. They are just being friends, colleagues, etc. With that and freaking out over the silly engagement rumor, I'm starting to think she might be setting the stage for a possible break-up in the future.

What Jen is saying actually makes sense to me, more or less. Because of the segment on the Today show with Janice Min, the "news" was given far more legitimacy by other media outlets than it ever would have received as a mere US Weekly cover story. I like the gossip rags, but even I know US Weekly is far less reliable than People and was honestly bewildered that Today would treat something so flimsy as if it were fact, in the name of getting an "exclusive" and selling a good story. Jen's just extrapolating what happened with her to more serious news and wondering if the mainstream media are getting things terribly wrong there, too. OTOH, "we're just being" does sound very like a flaky actress thing to say.

I wonder how long Vince and Jen will have to be together before the talk of the relationship being a mutually benificial relationship wears off. What would be the point on Vince's part? No one was gossping much about his love like before Jen came along so I don't see where he would have some great urge to be closeted. The whole idea of an arrangement seems like it would be a lot of work and full of BS and would Vince really put up with that for a year? He just seems sort of lazy to be putting on this kind of act for so long.

I thought she was just saying that if somethings reported on the news, it should be true. Americans need to be able to believe that what newscasters report is the truth. And they were reporting that she was getting married, which wasn't the truth, which means what else are they reporting that isn't true? I thought she made a good point.

I think they are dating. I think they are having fun. I don't think it's some publicity stunt, and I totally expect them to part amicably within the next 6 months to a year.

While Jenifer sounded somewhat ditsy in her statement, I can understand her frustation. Why the hell is CNN reporting in the news segment about a celebrity engagement especially one that's been denied by the celebrity? And the Today show had US Weekly give an exclusive, official confirmation of Vince and Jenifer's engagement. It's getting a little out of hand. I just don't understand why she is still one of the main stories in the news and tabloids. Unlike Paris, Lindsay, etc., Vince and Jen aren't going to the hotspots to be photographed by the paps. They aren't doing any promotional interviews, so leave them the hell alone already.

I seem to have noticed she has quite a nice collection of heels in other pics I've seen her in. She has some really beautiful shoes.

I like the way she dresses. Seems to flatter her and she looks good most of the time in what she wearing HOWEVER she always goes for the safe choice of black dress and black heels. I hardly ever she her wearing anything else but that uniform. I wish she'd try some other colors more often. On the other hand I'm glad she opts for beauty in simplicity rather than pick outrageous, loud outfits that don't look good.

Her and Vince? I don't care. Vaughniston is boring. Plus I don't think I ever believed they were a couple anyway. I still don't.

But isn't this yet MORE fuel for the fire? Now the tabloids (and supposed legitimate entertainment sources) are all over THIS. I'm sure next week's headlines will be blaring "Hysterical Jen denies engagement! Friends say she's ready to crack! Vince dumps her during the most critical time!". I think you just need to stay quiet. They ALL have this crazy stuff being said. And if the worst they say about you is that you're engaged .. get a grip.

American publication Life & Style reports in its new issue that the actress heard the news about her father's health crisis last Friday and spent much of the weekend at his bedside.
