Wow, Coffeecakes, what a story! I'm glad you told them to fuck off. I really think I would have done the same in that situation and I can't understand how anyone can take this seriously, either. I'm convinced that the people who get sucked in are seriously messed up or depressed already. From The Smoking Gun: Scientology's Nut Job Founder

So PerezHilton and www.thesuperficial.com/ are reporting about CTC and Rob Thomas being caught in bed together (which everyone shoulda seen comming since Rob just discovered his crotch in that damn Lonely No More video) by Rob's wife Marisol and she's threatening to go public. Big deal normally, but apparently Rob Thomas is also a Clam. Two clams would make Marisol look like hell after any divorce unless she was paid off. Now I have to go burn my Matchbox 20 cds. And the copy of Rob's cd I got from a friend.

From local Detroit news. Should I send an email to these people, explaining that vitamins and "auditing" are the answer they're looking for? I mean, why waste the money and the time when the answer is RIGHT HERE?

It's not part two, but their books section now has an article on everything you wanted to know about "Dianetics" but were too freaked out to ask. ("a fantastically dull, terribly written, crackpot rant" -- awesome). This is why I subscribe to Salon. Actually, that was part two-it says so right in the opening statement. Coffeecakes, if someone did that with MY kids, I'd call them up and raise hell. That's just messed up.

I've never given Scientology much thought until CTC went insane. But I remember an old co-worker I used to know who wanted me to go to these mysterious self-help classes which were run by Scientologists. She swore that anyone could take the classes and improve themselves, and she really wanted me to go with her, but she wouldn't tell me what was involved until I agreed to attend.
Unfortunately for her, my mother tried to involve me in every wierdo 70's self help crap she came in contact with, so I would sooner stick my hand in a basket of asps than crack open a self-help book. So I refused to ever go.
But it makes me wonder whether these continual self-help seminars that are supposed to make you a better person are really fronts for the clams. If they could convince a person to attend a series of classes for "character-building", they could slip them the clam juice later on once they have their trust, right?

Rob Thomas is a clam? These people are trying to ruin my life. The thought of Rob with another man is so hot, my brain would be having a meltdown if the other man wasn't CTC.
