Thank you for the correction. In my defense, I'm on opioids this week... Percocet, Percocet, I Luuuuv yoooo Yes, I doooo You and your Percocet high Where’s my Percocet? Whoah-oh-oh-oh Where’s my Percocet? Whoah-oh-oh-oh, Oh-oh.... [/Tom Jones-ing] Particularly appropriate due to Limbaugh’s OxyContin addiction. I remember listening for years to a great radio guy, Bruce Williams, suddenly being replaced by some guy named Rush Limbaugh. Then Limbaugh trashed my 15 year old daughter on his coast to coast radio program (way to aim low, Rush, because if you can’t beat up a 15 year old girl, what kind of man are you?) Then his own Mom prominently supported our peace project, (so even your own mom thinks you’re a ass.) Nothing else to say. I stopped paying attention to you when you insisted that bee pollen was napalm. Or napalm was really bee pollen. I don’t remember which, and does it really matter? Yeah, I don’t get it either, But Rush was literally spitting mad over this back in the mid 80’s. |

O/T: Years ago, I worked for a District Attorney's Office in NYC, in a bureau where we processed arrest paperwork.
Would you believe me if I told you many Narcotics cops could not spell some of the drug names?
For example: OXYCOTTON? ZANTAX? HEROINE?
Don't even try to type out MDMA's chemical name(Methylenedioxymethamphetamine).
On Topic: I'm so sad about poor Rush Limbaugh. Not.
Michael Douglas isn't sounding too good either. I do not believe that Kirk's dying words were about backing Bloomberg. Like I believed Rudy Giuliani's comment on 9/11: Thank God George Bush is our President! WTF???

And could you tell us more about his mom supporting your peace project? My devout Southern Baptist parents (who don't believe racism still exists) are huge Rush Limbaugh fans. It would be nice to be able to give an anecdote about how he's was horrible person to someone I know since they'll poo poo anything else as an exaggeration of the fake news. (My dad was really angry at his housekeepers who were selling him the illegal oxy. It was not his fault.) |

Back when Reagan was president and talking about a winnable nuclear war (enough doors and enough shovels and we’ll all survive!), my husband and I started an international peace project. Citizen Diplomacy when the countries can’t seem to get it together.
We’d have school children and adults make lantern shades with their names, address, messages of peace, and art work and we’d exchange them with kids in the USSR and across the globe. Many pen pal relationships were formed, marriage, Sister Cities, it still has an impact.
On the 1st Saturday in August, the people would float the exchanged lanterns with the local lanterns on the rivers of the world.
At one point we had 30 countries participating, 4,000 cities, and thousands of lanterns. Japan, Nepal, India, South America, Germany, Africa, there are still lanterns floats happening, we read about then every year in early August.
My daughter made a pen pal with a girl from Moscow and they became fast friends. When Gorbachev relaxed visas, an exchange summer camp called “Samantha” (named after school girl Samantha Smith, who met with Gorbachev and asked for peace) was opened up for Russian and US kids to have a camping experience together.
My daughter and her Soviet pen pal were invited to attend and met for the first time.
The story was picked up by USA Today, a very big news outlet pre Fox News.
A picture of my daughter holding a Soviet flag, and her pen pal holding a US flag was top picture, second section of the national newspaper, along with their story.
Someone called me and said Rush was trashing our daughter on his program. He went on and on about how this was an abomination, my daughter was stupid and naive, her being friends with the Moscow pen pal was the kind of crap that is making our country weak. She should be set straight. Is she loyal to the US, a communist, are her parents communists.... you know, the usual mouth spitting angry commie hating finger pointing blathering tirade Rush is known for.
My daughter ended up getting her masters at American University in International Economics and has been working in International Development for 20 years.
Way to school a young girl on how to be a proper ‘Murican, Rush. You set her on the right path /s.
After our project making national and International news, and then the Rush hit, Rush’s mom wrote us a letter about how much she supported us and what we were doing for world peace. A very intelligent, kind, and thoughtful letter.

I suppose he trashed her too. And the collage female advocate of birth control. Rush likes to smack down young women. He’s been married a bunch of times, I think the only reason he attracts women at all is his money. He seems to have...issues. Probably the original incel, and still has problems with 12-17 year old girls.

Aw, famvir, you and your daughter are wonderful! I'm glad Rush helped propel your daughter to greatness. I don't know why this made me think of it, but remember when Gawker did this in honor of Rush's latest marriage? What a lucky lady. |
