Whoa... that Saula stuff takes the cake. I almost don't believe that they're serious, but I think they are.
Here's another gem...

The worst RPS Fan-fic I was introduced to was the Orlando Bloom rape fanfic, where authors wrote fanfic about Orlando Bloom raping them. It was so disturbing and one of the moderators of the fanfic board came on FT and berated us for finding it disturbing, claiming that the people writing it had real anxiety about being raped and this is how they worked it out, by writing fanfic about Orlando Bloom raping them. It was one of those things I just could not get my mind around. First off, knowing that there are people out there who spend their time worrying that they might be raped, even though they are not in a potentially dangeorus situation, and then, secondly, that there are women out there who write fanfic about being brutally raped by a celebrity as some sort of therapy.
Seriously, the older I get, the more boring I become because the more I find out that there are people out there who are doing some really crazy stuff and the stuff I did that I thought was crazy is just so tame.

You know I read a Cosmopolitan article as a kid that really seemed to sear in my brain. It was about sexual fantasies that people wish they had not acted out. There was this woman who tied herself up in the hopes of having her dog molest her. She realized that it was a bad idea after the fact. (OMG, WTF??)
I see that in Orlando Bloom rape fanfic. People have all sorts of unacceptable fantasies that they would be horrified to have acted out. Why they write about it on the web, however, is beyond me. (not as bad as the dog story though)

OK, fantasizing about Orlando Bloom, erm, taking the enthusiastic initiative is one thing (not that I've ever done that. Nope, not me!), but rape? Truly fucked up. It's like, imagine the worst thing that could happen to you as a woman, now imagine the object of your desire doing it to you. Uh, no.
I wonder if these are the kinds of people who really believe the storylines in soaps where a rape victim falls in love with her attacker and they live happily ever after.

In a lot of ways, that kind of fanfic is about reclaiming control, though. Of course, if we start really psychoanalyzing fanfic, we'll be here for decades....

Saula?? Oh my. I've never even understood people writing fan fiction about characters that aren't involved on-screen, so for me, thinking about real people that way, is just so weird.
Speaking of which: Roswell fans are all kinds of crazy. I actually like Roswell, in this kind of ironic, "haha, it's so bad and cheezy I just have to watch it" kind of way. Searching for sites and information about it was not a good idea. People are convinced there are things going on between the boys on that show. They take it way too seriously. It's not like they see the humour in what they're doing. No, no. And the wars between fans of the different couples are so ridiculous. I lost interest in trying to find something fun about that show.
People need to get a life.

How sad is it that upon seeing these words, I immediately assumed it was fanfic in which OB is raped? I think it was in the old FT incarnation of this thread that someone linked to a lj community called "orlirapers" (wow, offensive and ungrammatical at the same time!) Made me so damn glad I'm not a celebrity.

Even worse was the site/LJ whatever (saw it once, never went back there) in which Viggo Mortensen was the rapist and Orlando was his victim.
I know they stick disclaimers at the top of the page but you'd think they'd still get sued for defamation of character!

The worst RPS Fan-fic I was introduced to was the Orlando Bloom rape fanfic, where authors wrote fanfic about Orlando Bloom raping them. This defintely takes the cake. What is wrong with some people? I can understand someone fantasizing about having sex with a celebrity crush (not that I do it) but why would you want to fantasize about someone you like RAPING you? That's pretty messed up right there. The Saula thing is hilarious. I can't believe she analyzes every single smile, word, gesture, etc. between those two. I already knew there were some weird people on the net but wow, this thread is totally opening my eyes to incredibly freaky fans.
