Yeah, he was out before his career really took off. When he got Teen Wolf, it seemed like he had to go more in. MTV apparently wiped a bunch of info about certain actors on the show (stuff like some people's age, Haynes had a gay mag photoshoot out there, for example) before it aired. But he's never really bothered to hide it. He has casually said things that implied he's out on social media, and he dated Zachary Quinto.
That interview also covers his anxiety issues. Sounds like fame and being kinda half-heartedly closeted was taking its toll on him.
Oh also, the Teen Wolf and Arrow real-life shippers are probably losing their minds, because his true loves are Hollen Roden and Emily Bett Rickards. The dream is dead, guys.

AWW! I wasn't exactly sure where to put this (Stars I Like seemed another good bet. But I wasn't sure if deceased stars counted) But I finally decided this was the thread to post about the Bea Arthur Residence, a shelter for homeless LGBTQ youth which is funded by her estate. What an awesome parting gift to leave in one's will. You go, Bea Arthur!

Didn't Shepard Smith supposedly date a few different actresses? One of them for a few years, I believe. And one date with Nicole Kidman or something, but I don't think that rumor was true.

Bex Taylor-Klause, one of the suspects, or victims, or killers, or bystanders...?... on the TV show version of Scream, has come out. Although, future type casting alert, she's already played lesbian characters on The Killing and House of Lies, so... Surprise? Good for her though. I shouldn't be pessimistic.

She previously denied she was gay, and she is still pretty young (early twenties?). It sounds like she was still figuring herself out. Good for her for being comfortable with coming out. Scream is kind of ridiculous, but it is cool that one of the lead characters is a not really femme lesbian. Especially after years of rumors that they pushed Colton Haynes back in the closet (and wiped the age of the lead actress from the internet).

Why does Hollywood think we care about how old someone is, or who they kiss goodnight at the end of the day? Be good at your job, and tell me a great story on your show/in your movie. That's what matters!

I am not sure that this exactly fits but I thought it was the closest thread to talk about what is going on with the Rick and Bubba drama. It's pretty big news since down here since they are based in Birmingham but if you are not a fan, R&B are a syndicated, moderately popular, good ole boy radio show that is also very conservative and very evangelical. I used to listen to them as I liked Bubba and the supporting cast but I have never, ever liked Rick Burgess. Under all the Bible thumping is a thick layer of mean. They eventually went so far to the right that I had to stop listening to them. It seems that after his toddler died a few years ago (which was truly awful and I was very sad for them) he and his wife fell off the deep end into fanaticism.
Friday, his daughter Brandi Burgess came out and wrote a heartbreaking and scathing op ed for Al.com. Frankly, Rick came out looking like a real turd. Teen Vogue and HuffPo picked up the story and it went viral. I am a Christian too but his brand of Christianity is not one I can support.

That poor girl. I hope her mother at least is supportive.
I made the poor choice of looking at the comments. Ugh. It reminds me why I don't go to church anymore. Not because of any crisis of faith, but because of how hateful and unchristian so many "Christians" are.
