Fun fact - Gordon Thomson had a non-singing lead role in my local summer theatre about 10 years ago. He played an Ed Sullivan type hosting a tv show featuring all the great rock and roll legends of the 50s and 60s. It was a great show, and I kept thinking, "Adam Carrington is on my stage, weird."

Gordon Thomson, who was evil Adam Carrington on Dynasty has come out. He also talks about internalized homophobia and life "back then", and as a closeted gay guy back then, I remember it too. Scary times. I wish I hadn't missed this conversation because I would have jumped in to say who cares about Dynasty - we're talking about Mason Capwell #3 on Santa Barbara! (Who did a perfectly serviceable job as the character but still made me cry inside every time I watched because he wasn't Lane Davies.) |

Your brain works in the most beautiful unique way. You are such a delight! OT- reminds me of a wonderfully sweet woman I used to work with in a restaurant. We had a regular customer (guy) getting a bj in the parking lot. Everybody knew because they were parked right in front of the doors. Prince Charming came back in afterwards and asked the hostess for some wet naps and a breath mint. Delightful Co-Worker casually says "at this point you have to wonder who she's trying to impress with her fresh breath..." and then walked away. So in my mind you look just like her, which is a good thing. She's beautiful inside and out. |
