LGBTQ+ in Hollywood

I guess it's becoming so commonplace that we miss a few. Frenchie Davis comes out during PrideFest in St. Louis.

And I found that out while reading the latest list of people who just might be according to "sources".

Richard Chamberlain was gay? Who knew (I didn't.)

He came out several years ago, IIRC. According to Wikimapedia,

Chamberlain was outed by the French women's magazine Nous Deux in December 1989 at the age of 55, but it was not until 2003 that he confirmed his homosexuality, in his autobiography, Shattered Love

It looks like he hasn't worked for a few years. I was more surprised to find out he was American, as my first impression of him was from Thorn Birds.

Wasn't Richard Chamberlain a guest star on Leverage a couple years ago? I think that was the last time I saw him in anything. More power to him.

He played King Arthur in the Broadway touring production of Spamalot! a few years ago, and was absolutely delightful. My favorite part of his performance was during the title number, when he faked a tap dance routine as his loyal servant Patsy banged the two halves of coconut together. Good times...

The most I've ever seen of him is as the uncle's love interest in the final season of Brothers and Sisters a few years ago, so to me, Richard Chamberlain is synonymous with "old gay guy."
