What a funny line.
I think you can attribute that to Howard Stern, because he is big on the anal and always promoted anal porn on his show. Never knew it that important to straight men, but since Howard pimped out anal, it's everywhere.

If you want regular folk (and most aren't bad-looking either) there are some forums where people upload their home movies which, with today's digital cameras, are actually pretty good quality.
Not that I would know. Ahem.

I find most fetish porn to be refreshingly humanistic -- which is odd, considering the meaning of fetishism. But niche porn seems to be more diverse, inclusive, etc. What I find disturbing is mainstream hetero porn.
Like others have noted, the point of mainstream porn these days seems to be: how much abuse can this woman's body take? Between the plastic surgeries, the total lack of foreplay for the woman, the verbal derision that she's usually subjected to, the prevalence of anal sex (usually done in the most brutal way possible and treated as an obligation), the use of her body or face as a goddamn tissue afterwards -- if that's what's sexy to most men, I weep for the next generation.
And with the prevalence of porn culture, men seem to be expecting this kind of crap from ordinary, non-porn, non-compensated-for-the-damage-to-their-orifices women. We're going to have a generation of frat boys who have no idea what a real breast or pubic hair looks like and, worse, a generation of women who date these assholes who will rarely have sex without pain involved. It's just fucked up.
If porn was just "people having sex," that would be great. But a lot of the mainstream hetero stuff is, frankly, hateful.

Just what I was thinking, but your whole post said it so much better. I always thought porn would be wonderful if they took a story I liked and just added the sex in. Like most romcoms, or dramas, and then showing what actually happened instead of a view of the ocean and mood music. Of course, then it wouldn't necessarily be porn, just unrated, probably.

So much word to that. I don't mind the soft porn you tend to find on late night cinemax, it seems pretty harmless, if silly, but when it looks like the woman is just there as some object willing to be used and abused and doesn't really look like she's enjoying it all that much I can't really see why anyone would find that sexy unless they're sadistic.

Yes, GirlNamedCarl, exactly. I have no problem with porn if it seems like the woman is into it (or at least not visibly wincing in pain!) and is not being talked down to. If the woman is not being treated well, it's highly disturbing.
In that same vein, I also have a huge problem with the titles of so many videos using the words "slut" and similar, because it's just more of that virgin/whore dichotomy bullshit. Women in porn are no less deserving of respect than virgins; I don't care how many men they've slept with or how much they're "willing to do."
Unfortunately the rampant hypocrisy and misogyny of most porn doesn't look like it's going anywhere, and that's truly frightening.

This is why 70's porn is the best. Natural boobs, the 'ginas haven't been waxed into oblivion, and the women at least look like they're having fun, or are at least good at faking it. I don't like alot of the newer stuff where they all look bored, and mug for the camera right in the middle of the act.

...alot of the newer stuff where they all look bored, and mug for the camera right in the middle of the act. I know! Even if I'm an eensy bit interested, when the woman (or the guy, for that matter) suddenly stares into the camera with that campy provocative look, forget it. I'm over it. One of the times my boyfriend and I had an impulse to rent porn -- Within a couple minutes the "dialogue" had us laughing so hard that no amount of naked bodies and people badly simulating lust could be taken seriously by us. We ended up imitating the faux-sexy dialogue for days. So I guess we did get something out of it, we got to laugh quite a bit. Those people have no idea how dumb they look and sound. Although, clearly, there are people who get off big-time from it, otherwise it wouldn't exist. Oh! Plus, it teaches teenaged boys what "real" sex is like!

Traffic may tease me about my "vintage" porn, but that's exactly why it's there. The refreshing lack of waxing, silicone, and ink stained pincushions. The presence of some story with people who could nearly deliver dialog is also a bonus!
