spider, I'm pretty sure the one I saw had a rattlesnake too! I wish I remembered what it was called. It was so amazingly terrible. The '70s 3D movies are great for sheer nonsense, because the novelty of the technology meant that everything was just thrown together just to make the most of it. I'm pretty sure there was a frightening five-minute scene of a woman with enormous breasts just shaking them at the camera. Eep!
And yes, the budgets are getting huge. The recent Pirates of the Carribean spoof (I think it's just called Pirates) seemed to actually have filmed some scenes on location, with real ships! There's even a battle at sea and CGI zombies, I think. I haven't seen the actual film, just the trailer, but I was impressed by the budget (even if it did still look shlocky).

I so want to see that 70s 3D porn movie now. It sounds awesomely bad.
In general, I just don't find porn sexy. One of the main problems I have with it is that it's just so obvious that the women aren't getting off on it at all. I haven't seen much straight porn but the oral sex techniques of some of the women in lesbian porn scare me. I mean, seriously, that is not the way to get someone to come.
I also hate the fact that the women never have any pubic hair.
To be honest, I think I find gay (male) porn the most appealing and God knows what that says about me, since I'm a lesbian.

Queequeg, Have you checked out any of Viv Thomas' stuff? If not, I strongly recommend the "Pink Velvet" trilogy.

I like gay porn too, since the men are actually attractive. And it often looks like they're enjoying themselves rather than just going through the motions for the camera.
I'm not a big fan of huge fake breasts in porn, but I don't like vintage porn either because the actresses are too unattractive for me. And I have nothing against waxed pubic hair!

I hate the trend of no pubic hair. When the hell did that start, anyway? It's become the norm, not just in porn but in life apparently.

No, but I've heard good things about it so I might have look into it.
And, hey, poorfrances, we agree on something! I don't know when the trend started but it's definitely got worse in the last 5 years or so.

I hate the trend of no pubic hair. When the hell did that start, anyway? It's become the norm, not just in porn but in life apparently. I've heard that it became a vogue in porn when the resolution of the images was considerably lower than it is today. Actors and actresses shaved so you'd see actual parts instead of a big dark blur. It's become usual because men are increasingly taking their cues from porn as to what is "normal"; pubic hair is seen as weird, gross and icky because it does not appear in porn, and women are jumping on the bandwagon to avoid getting dissed. Many men of my generation (I'm 27) simply cannot deal with pubic hair at all. And I say fuck 'em, because I'm enough of a 'ho to know that guys who consume so much porn that they don't know the difference between porn and reality always suck in bed anyway. Choke-fucking and being called a "cum-hungry slut"? Uh, no thanks there, Sparky. I have nothing against porn in theory. In practice, I even like some porn. I am grossed out by the same kind of gross, degrading porn that y'all are also grossed out by, and it's my belief that anyone who has not had actual sex should stay away from porn -- at least until they understand that fantasy and reality can both be wonderful things, but that they are not the SAME thing.

Has anyone else discovered Xtube?

Haven't heard of Xtube--although now I'm about to look it up!
What do you guys think--are there any performers who are actually into porn? I've talked to male friends who have known porn actresses and they say it's mechanical and "all about the money." But I dunno...sex is sex. Can you have sex repeatedly and not ever get turned on? I'm always doubtful when I hear couples in the biz talk about how comfortable they are with a spouse who bangs several people because "the bukkake scenes mean nothing! He/she is in love with me!"
