Well the article does say that Kyle's having a slumber party with his PR people, so maybe they did time it deliberately. Shame, I thought he and Jackie O were BFFs.

I think it is perfectly acceptable to feel good about Kyle's divorce. His wife, by simple definition a better human than he, is no longer married to him. This is a situation full on win! Here is a youtube video of a Holocaust survivor, his daughter and three of his grandchildren dancing to I Will Survive in in Auschwitz. It ends with a minute of Dance Me to the End of Love by Leonard Cohen, and the grandfather saying "This is a really historical moment. If someone would tell me here, then, that I would come 60-something-three years later with my grandchildren, so I'd say 'What you talking about?". The SMH is details the ooh aah controversy. It's not for everyone. But Jews dancing for life, family and survival to a song by a black American woman in a place of certain death, hate oppression? I feel that is the ultimate sign of respect, and more power to 'em. |

I skipped over that story when I first saw it because I thought it was another media beat-up to induce outrage for five minutes until the next story came along, I didn't realise the grandfather was an Auschwitz survivor. As the saying goes, living well is the best revenge, and what better way to celebrate life than by dancing on the ruins of your enemy's attempt to destroy you?

I'm not sure what Matthew Newton's major malfunction is, but I find it odd that someone like Bert could have raised such a violent douchebag.
Tell me, why is Matthew a "star" again? He's both talentless and fug as far as I can discern.

My husband insists (he got the goss from an industry friend) that Bert Newton is a raging drunk who likes to beat Patti so maybe Matthew is just following dad's form? In any case, I know Bert is beloved, iconic blah blah blah but his son is fug. Fugly and untalented. Even with the nepotism, how did he get work?
