I'm in Cairns, and it's been raining a fair bit here, and when it's not raining it's way too humid for comfort - no flooding though. I work for the Qld Fire and Rescue Service, and we've sent people down to help out. One of my co-workers said it's going to keep raining like this for another few months. I really feel for everyone affected by the floods though, from what's been shown on the news it looks awful.

It's just heartbreaking to see so many houses - and lives - lost. Seeing the Brisbane CBD flooded is totally surreal.
