Wallabies! They beat the Bokkies 49-0 a couple of weeks ago, it can be done again. I doubt South Africa will be so easy to beat again, and be beaten by so much, but I think we'll be okay against them.

(says in a really small voice) I was actually rooting for Germany. I just haven't found much of a reason to get excited about Australian footy in the last few years, and I like supporting the home team.

And I'm not entirely sure what Thorpe is thinking. His closest competitor, Michael Phelps, is not chowing down on junk food as part of his "training". A lot of people have been saying that they think Thorpey is on his way out, and I think I'm starting to agree with them. Which is too bad, because he's not all that old (24), although a swimmer's career is supposedly pretty short. I think I read somewhere that most swimmers peak around age 20.

I think that Thorpey did it all so quickly, that by 21 he was bored with the sport. Hence experimenting with the backstroke and medley.

Remember his big guest appearance on Friends? It was during a SAG strike so the only airtime he got was his feet in the background at Central Perk.

I've always thought he and Brett Lee should hook up and become the gay answer to Bec and Lleyton. I mean, they both list Human Nature as their favorite band for gods sake. If that's not meant to be, I don't know what is.

I was hoping Australia would get knocked out first round because the thought of that game taking over the country makes me ill. I was getting behind Portugal, because Ronaldo is pretty.
