I haven't really enjoyed Minnie Driver since the 90s, but she did an incredible job of fleshing out her characters in Grosse Point Blank and Good Will Hunting - both written by guys who abdicated responsibility to her for doing so since they couldn't "write women". Her character in GPB is a nothing character that she pumped way up with charm.

I really enjoyed The Riches, the dramatic t.v. series about a family of travelers who pull of a huge con by pretending to be a high powered attorney and his family. They're fleeing their family and a forced marriage of their young daughter when they're involved in a fatal car accident with the real attorney and his wife, if I recall correctly The con allows them to steal a life of wealth and hide from their family. Minnie played the just released from prison wife. Eddie Izzard was the husband. Their young son was sometimes dressing as a girl, and the parents and sister handled it really well. It ran for a few seasons, and then they moved it to the middle of the night. I never did watch the end. I thought it was all well done. It was set in Louisiana, I believe, because unlike the other 49 states the law is based on the Napoleonic code, or something. Anyway, Eddie Izzard had to pretend to know the law when his character didn't at all. They had a solid marriage, and were good parents.

She's got a new show this fall that could be funny ( Speechless trailer). I enjoy her in everything I see her in so I'll give it a shot.

I've adored Minnie since Circle of Friends too. She and Jewel are my Possibly-unpopular-opinion girl crushes from the 90s. I'm looking forward to her new show.

Jensen Ackles does nothing for me. I keep hearing how gorgeous and hot he is, and all I see is jug ears, bowlegs, too-big eyes, a crooked nose and a mouth like a vulva. Don't forget the crow's feet of a 70 year old!

I thought Minnie was great in Phantom of the Opera. Her diva was hilarious without going OTT.

I just watched the pilot of Speechless, and it seems promising. I love Cedric Yarbrough, so I'm glad to see him, too. Minnie's role is a very intense character, which I think is her strength. I remember thinking she was kind of unconventionally pretty about 20 years ago (or whenever) and she definitely has a jolie-laide thing with her face when it's still, and she seems to be one of those people that is really attractive in motion. Shallow: I love her hair when it's curly, I like her coloring, and I like her kind of brassy.

I have Minnie curls. It's a pain.
On topic, I've liked her since her role on Mystery's Maigret show. She was only onscreen for a few minutes, but really made an impact on me.
