She's appearing on American Idol this week and that show's produced by Nigel Lithgoe, who dated/dates (?) Priscilla. I don't know if she'll be singing this song but I hope so! If she does, it'll be because Nigel lets her do it, which makes me wonder about his relationship with Priscilla and Priscilla's relationship with the Co$.

Riley Keough Becomes Sole Trustee of Lisa Marie Presley's Estate After Agreement with Priscilla Presley

The family strife is not finished. Riley is now the owner of Graceland but she is allowing her grandmother to go get her stuff and GTFO. The agreement also pays Priscilla $1 million (from LM's life insurance policy) and a monthly fee as "Special Advisor to the Trust." Riley will not charge for her services as a Trustee, but Priscilla was planning to if she was kept as the Trustee. I guess the "Special Advisor" role allows her to live off the Presley money for a while longer. Also, Lisa Marie's estranged half-brother Navarone Garibaldi (Priscilla's child with Marco Garibaldi, her partner of 20+ years) gets 1/9th of the trust, and Priscilla is the Trustee of his sub-trust. Riley and her twin half-sisters will get the other 8/9th of the trust split between them.

They compromised on Priscilla being buried next to Elvis. She will be buried as closely as possible without moving anyone.

Priscilla's future gravesite had reportedly been a point of contention in the negotiations, with TMZ reporting last month that she had requested to be buried next to the King of Rock and Roll. However, Elvis is already buried between his grandmother, Minnie Mae, and his father, Vernon Presley. Elvis' mother, Gladys Presley, Lisa Marie and her son, Benjamin, who died in 2020, are also buried at the Meditation Garden.

Priscilla has always tried to sound like the family is on good terms and these are all just legal matters, but some of Riley's lawyer's comments are throwing some heavy shade.

Keough's lawyer said in part: "In settling the claims pending in Priscilla’s petition, the parties are...avoiding litigation and they are likewise avoiding the spectacle of intra-family litigation that would have been inimical to Lisa’s wishes and not in the best interests of the family."

Keough will not charge for her services as trustee, which her lawyer, Justin Gold, says "will save money that would have gone to Priscilla who was going to charge a trustee fee." Her lawyer also states that Riley intends to safeguard and invest the money "in a manner consistent with the needs of the beneficiaries, and not influenced by the desire of a Trustee." Additionally, she says that she would be “happy to provide more context” on the above assertion.

Riley didn't want any Elvis money going to Scientology? LM left the church but is Priscilla still in? Riley's acting career is going really well right now, but I would LOVE it if she wrote a memoir. Wow, can you imagine the stuff she has seen between her grandmother, mother, Michael Jackson, Scientology, Nicholas Cage, and being Elvis's granddaughter?!?

Priscilla comes off as a soulless vulture in all of this. What kind of asshole files a lawsuit against their granddaughter literally days after their mother (her child) dies?

She really does. But I also have mixed feelings about the situation. There probably wouldn't even be an estate if it weren't for Priscilla. When Elvis died, he was worth about five million dollars. She stepped in to manage the estate and rebuild his legacy which was pretty damaged after his death. The man's been dead for 45 years and his estate is worth 500 million. Much of that is due to Priscilla. I think she deserves to be taken care of, not to be in control, but to have some sort of stipend.

I completely agree with this. Riley seems to be the most mature and level-headed of the women in her family, and probably realized this wasn't worth a continuing fight. For all of Priscilla's issues, she did rebuild the estate into what it is today. Lisa Marie, on the other hand, had money problems, sold her stake in Elvis Presley Enterprises, and made a number of other poor business decisions. If anyone was going to squander Riley's inheritance it would have been more likely to be Lisa Marie.

I also don't necessarily blame Priscilla as much as Lisa Marie and others did/do for keeping some sort of a relationship with Michael Lockwood. At the end of the day he's the father of two of her granddaughters and now their guardian. I'm guessing they love him. I get that Lisa Marie wouldn't have wanted him at her funeral, but the twins probably did. To me it actually seems admirable that Priscilla gets along with him. I'm sure he's no peach and is probably a money grubber, but Lisa Marie was no peach either. I remember at one point the twins were living with Priscilla when their custody battle got nasty, so it just seems to me that whatever her faults, Priscilla has by and large been there for her family.
