I contributed a book entry to that site last year. I was weeding at the library I worked at, and I came across a book about important people in the computer field. It was so old that Steve Jobs had hair in his picture.

A patron couldn't believe we had something about preparing for or surviving Y2K still on our shelf. He brought it up to me. I think we reshelved it in the superceded section, but we didn't toss it. I guess it's some kind of relic.

Ugly engagement rings, with creative style. The funny part for me is that I would absolutely love (and love wearing) at least 65% of those rings. Even the octopus themed one. The rest of that site is actually quite amusing, too. Very witty.

I really like the concrete-floorboard-and-aqua-stone one! I might like the octopus one better if it weren't rose gold.
The descriptions, though, are spot-on.

I think we reshelved it in the superceded section, but we didn't toss it. I guess it's some kind of relic. I worked at my college library one summer and spent most of my time moving books to make more shelf space. I was amazed at the number of outdated books. Seriously, old nursing books that still advocated sponging your infant with rubbing alcohol to bring down a fever and a cookbook for single women written in the 1940s (I found out where my grandmother learned to boil Brussels sprouts until they turned into slime). I'm pretty sure the reason I wasn't hired for the Fall semester is because I told the head Librarian we would have plenty of shelf space if we tossed all the old books that were no longer relevant.
