The books are still selling well at my store, and now they've been joined by similar "naughty" imprints, as well as Anne Rice's Sleeping Beauty trilogy which has on its cover the blurb "If you loved 50 Shades of Grey, you'll love this!" I think it's a disservice to Anne Rice, her books were far more elegant and witty, but YMMV. You know, it's been a few years since I've read the Sleeping Beauty Trilogy, however it was very memorable. I am recalling a few scenes in there that would make many "50 Shades" readers run screaming away from them... |

Wow, I'd forgotten she existed. BTW, sounds like she didn't really read the book since the main character has a job and continues to work throughout the series. |

I liked the profile, but I'm a Molly fangirl. That said, there's also the inadvertently hilarious comparison between the profile and the review of her book, which apparently suffers from the unpardonable of being clumsy and amateurish. |

You know, I really get tired of the whole idea that men can have as many sexual partners as they want and still be viewed as a good/wholesome character, yet the instant that a woman has the slightest hint of a sexual past, her wholesome image is now gray and dirty.
We, as a society, are so puritanical, we can't even say having sex with somebody, we have to say 'sleeping with someone'.
I have never in my lifetime thought sex was dirty, and I also think a lot of people who do need to grow the hell up.

I finally checked out Archiveofourown.com. The interface is a little clunky, but overall it's less overwhelming than fanfic.net. I did come across an X-rated Transformer fanfic where the giant robots discover how human (male) slaves can satisfy their oily lusts. Gosh, I never knew giant transforming robots could have oily lusts : -/
