I'm a little freaked out seeing Jon and Liz together in Garfield. Jon? Dating in a non-ironic way? No way.

Well, the thing is (I'm a Garfield reader from the early days), Jon wasn't always King Geek. In those earlier (and funnier) days, he was simply a normal, nice young man. If you ask me, they beat the "geek" thing entirely too much into the ground and it would be nice to have more of the earlier Jon back again.

I'm not a Garflied reader from the early days, but I was a huge fan of the TV series and Jon was just a normal nice young man in that too. Plus he was dating Liz there too. I was shocked when I started reading the comic and found that he had been turned into a gigantic dork with no social skills whatsoever. I'm glad he's with Liz in the comics now, it seems much more normal.

Hm, I read the earlier comics too. I can't believe I forgot that. I guess when you see it for so long...

But anyway, can anyone tell me why everyone's still tooting Penny Arcade to be the best online comic EVAR! Because it hasn't really inspired a reaction from me for about 3 months.

If anyone's been following Funky Winkerbean lately, is this finally going to be the week when Lisa learns that the baby she gave up for adoption is that nice Darin Fairgood? Or am I just getting my hopes up for no good reason?

It better be! I've been waiting for that for God knows how long, especially since her cancer came back. If it doesn't happen after this week, then I'll pretty much give up on it ever happening; though, knowing this strip, it probably be revealed after Lisa dies.

Fox Trot is going to be Sunday only after Dec. 30. I know it's sort of boring and repetitive, but I really like it and I love that's it not afraid to be dorky. At least Bill knows when it's time to hang it up *cough*Lynn*cough.

AGGG! Not Fox Trot! Since FOFW went into a tailspin it's my favorite that is currently running. But yes, at least Bill knows to quit when he's on top.

So what's everyone getting now instead of Fox Trot? Apparently our paper is going to do a week (or a few weeks, it was confusing) of several strips and readers will vote on which one they want. The first contender is Pearls Before Swine, so squee! However, I'm worried that the stupid psycho conservative duck will make an appearance and win. I'd be happy with Mutts, though.
