I had to start this thread just to stir up a little excitement over the fact that his next book, Against the Day, is to be published on or around November 21 of this year. He hasn't had a book out since Mason and Dixon back in '97. According to Wikipedia the novel takes place from the Chicago Worlds Fair in 1893 up until the time immediately following World War I. A quote that was supposedly posted online by the very secretive author himself had this to say about the upcoming book: and
I am kind of excited over the fact of his now advanced age and how long it takes him to write a book (8-10 years) this is likely his last.
