I loved The Dead Zone - both the book and the movie. Heck, even the TV series with Anthony Michael Hall.

The Dead Zone is one of my top five favorite novels of all time (seriously.) I still find myself quoting it occasionally.

Started 11/22/63, and forced myself to put it down... at two o'clock this morning. Damn, King knows how to spin a good yarn.

I feel like King really has his writing mojo back. I really liked his last set of short stories and then this awesome book demonstrated that when the man wants to tell a good story he's hard to beat!

Would that be Full Dark, No Stars or Just After Sunset? I loved JAS, (the piece called "Mute" is one of the best King stories ever) but Full Dark, No Stars made me ill. I had to take a break from fiction generally after that one.

Hmmm, it was Full Dark. I really enjoyed those short stories. [/depraved]. Except the one about the rats - that was squicky!

I picked up Full Dark, No Stars for cheap and really enjoyed it. I find I've enjoyed his books of short stories more than his novels as I get older. (Different Seasons is my favourite).

Just finished "The Wind Through the Keyhole". Awesome. Completely recommended for Dark Tower fans.

I just posted this in the WTF thread, but there was an earthquake in Maine almost an hour ago and the center was at Lake Arrowhead. All I can think of is "The Mist", which was set in Maine and featured the Arrowhead Project. I knew that one day my imagination would team up with my knowledge of his stories and cause trouble.

I found a German version of a Stephen King novel at Crown Books the other day, and it was called "Sara". The cover design reminded me of Christine but, not able to speak or read German, couldn't figure out anything, even character names. Do we have any German Greecies who can figure out that one?
Picked up The Girl Who Loved Tom Gordon for 6 bucks hardcover while I was there. Will start that after finishing "The Sun Dog" from Four Past Midnight.
And I think, but am not sure, that The Wind in the Keyhole comes out in paperback next month.
