Misery, Shawshank Redemption, Stand By Me were all supreme King adaptations. And King has been involved in the production of 11/22/63, so fingers crossed. The Green Mile is one of my favourite adaptations of King's work. Ack, yes! Can't believe I didn't include that one. Back to 11/22/63: I reread it this past summer and, man, it holds up. I loved it as much the second go round as I did the first.

Does anyone know if inquisitr.com and cinemablend are legit sites? They're saying that Idris has been cast as Roland and I want to know how ridiculously excited I can get.
If true, I think it's totally out of left field casting and am thrilled. But also curious as to how they're going to rework the relationship between Roland and Detta Walker.
Please don't ruin this Hollywood.

I've never heard of the first one, but CinemaBlend is legit stuff, if gossipy. Still, I don't think anything's official about that film. In fact, we might not want to hold our breath on The Dark Tower until we are actually in the theater, ticket in hand. I finished Finders Keepers, which was enjoyable, but I preferred Mr. Mercedes more. These are not very memorable characters, since I wasn't sure who was last seen in the first book, and their connection in the second book. And {Spoiler}Is he really going back to the Shining pool with the first Maniac having telekinesis? I'm baffled by this idea. Just picked up Revival. Haven't read it, and completely forgot about it until I saw it at the library. I will say a little prayer here again that 11/22/63 the Netflix Mini-Series can live up to that book. Highly recommended.

I just finished Finders Keepers, and I'm a mite disappointed. I did like Mr. Mercedes better, this book seemed more like a space holder, which might be the point, this is a trilogy. But King was always better at making each book a stand alone. This one took way too long to grab my interest (and it never really succeeded at that), then didn't really finish. I am enjoying the Bazaar of Bad Dreams!

I'm cautiously thrilled. Idris Elba is a terrific choice, IMO, but I'm disappointed that this won't be a mini-series like 11/22/63. (Is anyone else watching that? I think they're doing a great job.)

I'm watching. I'm enjoying it even though they've changed stuff from the book. Franco is doing a great job, which pleases me as I was concerned about that.
