Does this mean we can all put "Time Magazine Person of the Year, 2006" under the "honors and awards" section on our resumes? Because I totally want to.

A bit of a cop out on Time's part, isn't it? Still, it's better than last year's. I mean, Bill and Melinda Gates and Bono? Sure, they're humanitarians, but they were far from the most influential people of that year. But then, I haven't expected much from Time after they failed to put Osama bin Laden on the 2001 cover. Granted, it would have looked bad to see his mug with "Person of the Year" written below, but he really was the most influential person of that year. No one else was even close. It is a massive cop-out, but not I am not surprised.
