Just watched her today on Oprah. At one point she started crying and said she tells her son "Treat every woman like she's your mother! Treat every woman like she was raped like your mother!" and then I thought that maybe she said "raised by your mother", or maybe she said something entirely altogether different. Did anyone else hear that part? What did she say?
I get her intent, but I seriously hope to God that she doesn't say "Treat every woman like she was raped like your mother" to her 8 year old son, because that's going to fuck that little boy up.

I heard the same thing! I thought today's Oprah show was interesting, but the psychologist woman was so "Men are the cause of EVERY bad thing that's ever happened, EVER!" that it got very old to listen to after a while. I haven't read the book, and after reading this and watching Oprah today, I don't plan to read it.
