I originally read She's Come Undone years ago, and really enjoyed it. Sure, its a little depressing, and the characted of Delores is not very likeable, but it kept my interest from the first page.
I Know This Much Is True is my favorite book ever. I know a lot of people who disagree, but I just thought it was captivating. I've probably read it over 7 times (and its LONG) and each time the story just sucks me in.
Does anyone know if he has any new novels in the works?

I haven't heard about anything new, but he's way past due. I wonder if he'll write again. I Know This Much is True is one of my most favorite books ever. I absolutely love that book. Thanks for the reminder -- I think I may have to reread it!
He edited an anthology of essays (I think) by female prisoners whom he taught writing. I haven't read it because I normally don't like anthologies or short stories, though.

I Know This Much Is True really held my attention. I really felt I got to know the main character's life from beginning to end. The flashbacks and journal were so vivid and real.

I loved I Know This Much is True. Generally I have a great deal of affection for novels that go through a person's entire lifespan. I felt like I actually knew the characters, they were so well developed. It was also different for me to read a story about brothers, usually I'm more inclined towards novels with female protagonists.

I started off with She's Come Undone. I really enjoyed it. So I went out and got This Much I Know Is True and this was some amount of years ago. I haven't been able to get past the first page...
But all of you seem to like it, so I'll give it another shot.

I read She's Come Undone two years ago, I think. I couldn't put it down, but after I read it I just felt.. awful. I've had the urge to read it again a few times, but then I remember the mini depressive-funk it sent me into, and I say 'nah.'
The general consensus here about This Much I Know Is True seems to be positive, though, so maybe I'll try that one.
