I'm enjoying my second readthrough, but came across something that didn't make sense at all. Remember when Harry, Hermione and Ron get caught by Greyback (that werewolf guy) and they all go back to the Malfoy mansion - and then they are tied up with ropes and sent down into the cellar? ROPES??? That could be cut with a nail??? Which make them less like ropes, and more like twine. Here they've caught Undesirable Number One and instead of using some sort of wicked magical binding spell, they tie him up with garden variety Home Depot ropes. It just doesn't make any sense. Unless Death Eaters are just stupid.

The DEs also neglected to confiscate the pouch around Harry's neck. Either they're stupid or they realized they were backing a losing pony, and started sabotaging Voldy's Cause, consciously or not.

Unless they didn't see the pouch because it was hidden under his shirt?
But ropes are definitely stupid.

Maybe it was a magical nail! ;D
I just read the "z0mg I bet Draco is a Death Eater!" bit in HBP and... they get into fights with Draco all the damn time, so why didn't they just pick another fight, stun his pasty ass and yank up his sleeve and check?
Voldy would never sing in a musical. He'd just sulk in a corner and make his Death Eaters do all the singing for him.

I just keep imaging the little Voldemort ditty at the end of The Potter Puppet Pals' "Mysterious Ticking Noise". Somehow that's how I imagine an HP musical.

I see an HP musical as being somewhat Wagnerian, performed over the course of a few weeks, like a Ring-cycle. There's too much storyline for one musical.

Now I can't stop imagining Rickman and Fiennes singing their roles. Snape's big number in the DH part of the musical would be "Always" of course. Maybe in the vein of Sinatra's "My Way"? And Voldie's? It would have to be a solo titled "Avada Kedavra" I think (with apologies to Steve Miller Band): "Avada Avada Kedavra, I want to reach out and grab ya". I'm so not going to get that song out of my head now.

Hee! I keep hearing "Avada Kedavra" as sung to the tune of "Hakuna Matada", but I think your version works better.
